Regardless of the woman’s age, getting someone at least 5 years older can do the trick. Men, like responsibility and they feel more powerful if they can provide for the woman in their lives. Older men are more generous, perhaps because they have achieved more in life and are not saddled with immediate financial obligations. Here I’m talking of men closer to or beyond retirement age. They find it attractive to have responsibility over their partner. Just looking through ads in the dating sites reveals that most of the time older men are looking for younger women to spoil. However, this dependency has to go with recognition and respect mentioned above. A woman is irresistible if she can be vulnerable and dependent on her man, of course to a reasonable extent.
Older men like to pursue the relationship…
In this day and age where women are considering themselves at par with men and have rights to pursue relationships they like; it can be a disadvantage if an older man is involved. I have observed that most of the time, older men like to be in charge and to pursue the relationship. It could also be due to their appreciation of good old romance and thus are attracted to women who let them be the romantic partner.

Older guys take love and intimacy seriously. A woman who can demonstrate that they appreciate and value these two traits is irresistible since the older they get, men also like to be pampered like small children. They like genuine love that can stand the test of time since getting old comes with challenges. Perhaps the guy is losing their hair or some other challenge which can threaten their masculinity. Hence, having a committed partner who understands and can intimately handle issues is an attraction. Older guys are scared of what they call, “Gold Diggers”, out to spend their money with no love in return. Younger men can do with “no-strings attached” as they are also still experimenting.
