Climate Change: Population Shift and Sea Level Rise

The Constant Search for Stability

Going Green and setting standards is a minimal process. When the rules of any game are changed there is a pause because, as “Players”, we need time to adapt and understand what the new rules mean and how we should perform well in new situations. As humans, we accept change little by little with great resistance, until we hit a tipping point.

Sea tides are expected to rise but at such a slow rate that we cannot see a direct impact on our lives, coastal areas or overall impact. In times of conflict due to drought, lack of food or water and even war, people do not move overnight but this happens over time and takes more time to change. Mass migration doesn’t happen overnight and people tend to slow down because it’s difficult to understand what’s in front of them. As the number of seals increases mass migration will become apparent and the effects of migration will be a lifelong problem for many.

The human race, as we know, has gone through many bad experiences, both natural and man-made. Permanent migrations have occurred for thousands of years due to climate change and these movements often involve small numbers of people and last for very long periods of time. Past climate change was less than what is expected to occur in the next century. Weapons in the past were plentiful and fighting was rare so the transition to a new environment came easily. The changes in population will soon be more dramatic because of the short time and because of the financial impact on the areas.

In times of war, armies of people travel long distances in search of protection, food, water, shelter, and opportunity. Recent historical events in Africa, Europe, Asia and even the United States have affected thousands of people in a short period of time. Natural disasters including droughts, food and water shortages, hurricanes and typhoons have displaced thousands of people and this number continues to increase. The number of refugees today is increasing because of these events and because of the economy. These economic factors will have an increasing correlation with future migration and the desire to Go Green by people and communities.

Money and its Power

Changes in the financial system that affect people is a big topic and the main influence that money has on people is related to the ability to get and spend money on other things. Many people living on the coast depend on money to get things like water, food and energy and when these things become more scarce the costs associated with them increase. Resources will be hard to find for many reasons, but first, what are the hardest to find? The first thing you need will be money.

Funds will flow into coastal communities to combat the effects of Climate Change. These funds will be available in the form of bonds that will be issued over several decades and that focus on some short-sighted projects. It will also include large sea walls, port repairs, marine projects such as desalination plants, drilling deep wells, frequent power outages and the failure of minor infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, transportation and water and sewerage, but none These projects will address the effects of Climate Change as they continue to grow.

These expensive investments are expected to be paid for in increased taxes around the world and will eventually fail due to the political conflicts that occur with all these projects, corruption, the lack of foresight of many businesses and communities and the resistance they cause. fake analysis. Instability in various projects will be the norm due to the lack of return to the investors in these projects. In addition to these funds is an increase in disaster relief due to hurricanes that cause flooding and hurricanes. Every year the consequences of the increasing destruction will be increased by the loss of local people and the inability to continue to pay for the unnecessary efforts to delay the inevitable loss of the big cities. Imagine the incalculable cost of “Save” Miami, all the while knowing that it will be drowned in just a few lives. Now multiply the exciting events in the Eastern Seaboard. Under the circumstances it seems too risky and too expensive to avoid the inevitable.

Migration

Population will continue to move through these areas over time, but long-term trends will result in a decline or migration of people away from the cities. As money increases, the real quality of local people’s money will decrease because more of their money will be spent on their increased taxes so that the “knowing” in government can delay the inevitable. Those unable to move to higher and cheaper areas will face increased poverty, crime, dependence on government assistance and the breakdown of support networks. The service networks that are currently being destroyed include sanitation services, prisons, roads, schools, social services that include police, fire and hospitals. These are the first signs of bad things to come as everything rises in the crowd. As power outages, food and water shortages increase, fewer and fewer people live in once-great cities, which will further devastate these cities.

Over time, when fewer people live in coastal cities, the continued deterioration will be accelerated due to the neglect of the systems and the futile attempts to enter the areas with money. Not all people will leave these areas. For others, the conditions represent luck, good and bad. However, mass migration away from these areas will continue well into the next century. Similar to chronic diseases; The quality of life in these places decreases every year gradually, so the effect is not immediate but it affects the decline of the population and the quality of life.

The oceans will take their course, as they have done in the past, and we as humans have little we can do to reverse this process. Politics and self-government have progressed and the point of no return is already in the human race. Scientists and governments assure us that sea levels will rise and social inequality will increase. Forward-thinking people, the rarest among us, are creating strategies and putting themselves and their families in a position to secure long-term livelihoods. Those who get a leg up on the inevitable race hope to get better. As more and more people migrate to the mainland, new challenges await the existing population due to demographic changes and the influx of refugees.

These modern times are filled with doubt, resistance and hope. It is unfortunate that these ill-conceived, well-planned and poorly managed projects will be implemented over the next 100 years or so. Politicians, businesses and individuals will continue to support and be a part of corruption, increased taxes, constant pollution and lower quality of life. Interests in the short-term will only increase in the future because sustainability is not a concept that can be associated with short-sighted people, businesses or programs.

The concept of sustainability spans over 100 years such as human migration and climate change. Most people do not have the intelligence, skill or intelligence to understand, they choose and do what they know is right. As politicians and businesses know, many people can be swayed by false or misleading information and little money. In the US, constantly preaching to people about not raising taxes or fees and then doing it is a small example. Increasing SNAP or the old Food Stamp program just makes people happy without addressing the root causes. Building desalinization plants or drilling deep for fresh water is another way to entertain people because many problems related to the availability of fresh water are allowed to reach their limits. Politicians and businessmen have become so short-sighted that they enact laws or firefighting programs that ancient people started many years ago. The bottom line is that there is no fix under the current system for existing and ongoing problems.
