Divine Intervention – The Story of My Cat Pearl’s Miracle Recovery
My cat Pearl was born in March 2000 in New York City, where we lived. He was a young, healthy cat who suddenly started showing recurring flu symptoms in the spring of 2002. The vet initially said it was probably nothing serious.
After three or four times on antibiotics, followed by improvement each time, Pearl, my kitten, began to have mobility problems. I could see he was having trouble controlling his legs. Paralysis was rising.
They took a series of tests – blood tests, x-rays, urinalysis, etc.
I was very worried by this point, and kept feeling that he had a virus that attacked his nervous system.
I have been a professional Intuitive Health Psychic and Medium for eleven years at this time.
But this is my baby – the cute and loving kitten I rescued from my backyard.
‘Objective’ was not my strong point at this point, which is a ‘must’ to get accurate psychic information.
Then the terrible news came from a specialized blood test. Pearl had a terrible disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis FIP — a disease that is certain to be fatal, only supportive care, no known cure. Usually cats die in a few months.
I was devastated, because I had just lost another beautiful cat to cancer.
I could not believe that fate gave us this destiny.
The vet gave me little or no hope.
Pearl was put on the usual care, prednisone for pain and suppressing the immune system, thus keeping the disease from progressing and fluid therapy for hydration.
As the situation was dire, I did not give up.
I decided to research this rare disease that was so feared and dreaded by the veterinary medical community.
I found the website of a vet in England. He was an expert on this particular disease, and explained, in detail, how it attacks and affects the animal’s body.
After reading his information, I decided to research natural / homeopathic medicine. I learned what the virus did to Pearl’s body and treated her accordingly. At that moment, he was totally paralyzed.
The vet strongly pushed me to “put him to sleep” because there was no hope. I blatantly refused, which angered the vet who obviously had some control and ego issues. My feeling was that I would do anything and everything I could to help Pearl. Then if the Divine saw fit to take this love cat, then be it.
My intuition guided me. I started Pearl on a twice daily diet using the following – Spirulina for detoxification and oxygenating the blood, Vitamin C for the immune system, Vitamin E for the healing process, Omega 3 fish oil, oregano oil for infection, lecithin for signals from the brain to the spinal cord, Aloe Vera for inflammation and wheat grass juice as a cleanser.
The premise – as in holistic health care for people to clean the colon that brought all the toxins and diseases then use the vitamins and supplements to build the body up again.
Within two weeks of using this treatment twice daily, Pearl began to move again. He went from being totally paralyzed to walking…gaining strength little by little every day.
The vets were surprised but still saw it as a temporary “lucky stroke” unrelated to my actions.
I was not affected by the prognosis and continued to do the “concoction” twice a day. I knew it would help Pearl. He would see the drop coming to him and he was afraid that he had put this unpleasant mixture down his throat, but like children, animals do not like to take medicine! But to be, so I was sure that it was done.
I continued this method for months, and Pearl continued to improve. I switched to another vet, who was more of a ‘team player’. He was interested and open to my program after seeing Pearl’s improvement.
Soon Pearl was considered the “miracle cat” because it was unheard of for a cat with feline infectious peritonitis to survive more than a few months.
He was recently tested again for disease progression and his numbers were cut in half! 360 was his original number. They are now at 160… a few numbers away from the ‘carrier’ range!
Pearl is now “chunky,” and all her other tests are normal. The only symptom he is currently showing is still weakness in his hind legs, which the vet thinks is from the long-term use of prednisone, where he will remain until his numbers are in the normal range.
In the past six months, some veterinary assistants have used the same treatment for cats with the fatal disease leukemia as well as other animals with other health problems. Treated animals had a full recovery and did well.
In the case of a human subject, a friend suggested this diet to his 75-year-old grandmother, a stroke victim, who was totally paralyzed. The doctors gave him little hope. Now this woman walks with a cane, which is mainly for emotional support and security. This woman no longer talks about “the end of her life” but she talks about gossip in the barbershop that she still walks in every day!
I decided to use this health system for myself, I have had health problems over the years. I have felt great improvement and vitality since using Holistic and Natural Medicine.
I came to see this whole experience as a life lesson, and my cat, Pearl, was my teacher!
I think the point is to understand that we need both Western and Natural Medicine, which I integrated for the treatment of Pearl. He needed both to get better – one or the other probably wouldn’t be enough.
It has been fifteen months since Pearl was diagnosed with FIP. Experts said he would have gone well a year ago, but he is still with us and getting stronger and healthier every day. I still have it in the program and it still runs when it sees that damn drop coming. But that’s okay, because after he takes his medicine, I give him treats and tell him how much he is loved and I thank him because he is my gift and messenger from God!
UPDATE! Since this article was originally published- Pearl has passed. The treatment that was given extended his life by 2 1/2 years. I am grateful for the gift of a loving and special friend in my life – it has brought so much joy. Through her illness – she helped so many people – and most of all, I was blessed and touched to have her in my life.
NOTE: I am NOT a medical or health care professional. I am simply passing on my experience in the hope that it will help others. Always seek a MEDICAL and HOLISTIC PROFESSIONAL before attempting any treatment
