Stonehenge – All Hail Great Stones!

Kathy and I hit the ground running. He got into the English car on the wrong side and started driving on the “wrong” side of the street. We went to Avebury, a four-thousand-year-old standing stone circle in the shape of a dragon across a circle, the symbol of alchemy. The town of Avebury was actually surrounded by standing stones.

Everything was foggy and cold. Our first stop was across from Silbury, known as the pregnant Earth Goddess energy. A herd of goats started coming towards us as we approached. I brought a bagel and fed them. They were so gentle, even the ram. I knew I had done this before. The first thing people do when they see animals is to feed them.

We got to the Avebury pub and we didn’t have sixpence for a cup of coffee. A reality check, we had no books, no money in a foreign country. We took a walk on the Avenue of the Stones. I kept repeating Mother, Mother in each. The henge around Avebury is man made. The henge is surrounded by two stone circles, male and female.

It seems that this trip will be a return for me to my old home. We are returning home to the energy of the Mother of God. The theme is to help balance the male and female energy within, and unite our higher self with our “earthly” self. We are walking on the path of many ancients.

We returned to our B & B, the last place available in Heather’s home town. I was so tired that I had to lie down for a nap. I began to hear the rocks singing, a great hum going on and on. The nap seemed like I slept all night. We got up to go to dinner, and another walk near the “cove.” Mary and Michael’s lines cross here. As we thundered near the rocks, I felt myself entering the void. The Mother stone is the root chakra and the Father stone is the crown. I kept seeing the color red, even in the dark.

The stones were placed on the lines on the ground. The ley lines are like the meridians of our own body. They bring the “life force” on its way. Each stone becomes a channel of earth energy. We said that someone sat on a rock, without asking permission, and was thrown!

Heathers house was 300 years old. The foundation of the house was “sarsen” stone from Avebury. The “stone killers” dismantled many of the stones and used them to build their houses. Part of it was getting rid of the pagan beliefs associated with the stones. The Christian church was built very close to the circles to try to offset the influence of these ancient temples. When I got home, I had a dream that Avebury was a fairy circle.

Heathers house was so colorful, it was like a fairy house. He was born in the village and a bit upset by all these things. He told us that sometimes on a summer night he would take a walk and look over the rocks and see naked people dancing around, or beating drums, or ringing bells. “You say to yourself, did I really see and hear this?” The local policeman teased him after the “dancing episode.” “What was on your side at the time of the dance? Can you count for? Are you sure you were not out there among them?” For English breakfast he served us some special mushrooms. We used to joke that they were “magic mushrooms.” We felt like we stayed in Alice in Wonderlands house!

Before leaving Avebury we met some Druids. They told us that they would be at Stonehenge that night. We asked if we could join them, the answer was no. We left for the Henge at about 4 pm. We asked the lady at the ticket office for a place to stay. He refers us to a 700 year old mansion with 22 rooms. It was a B & B and was supposed to be the former home of Ann Boleyn, one of Henry VIII’s wives.

We casually mentioned that we knew the Druids were going to Stonehenge that night. Before I knew it we had an appointment from 9pm to 10pm to have Stonehenge to ourselves after the Druids. As we approached the henge, that afternoon, I continued to get chills walking. I call it “the thrill of the truth.”

We arrived at 9 pm in a star full night, the Big Dipper, Orion et. to There was no sun all day and not a single star last night, but tonight the sky blossomed. The guard ushered us in and told us that we were not allowed to enter the center because they had just laid new turf. We discovered later that the center is where all the magic happens. If there is frost around the stones, it will never be in the center circle.

Kathy began lighting the “ceremonial fire,” the small candles and incense we had brought in. He placed this on the first of the two fallen stones facing the middle of the circle. I had to walk the “future of the stones.” I slowly walked to touch each giant, but asked permission first. As I started to walk, I kept saying out loud, “Great rock!” I could not believe I was there, this great temple of the sun and moon, a temple of the Earth, the stars and the God of God. I walked the whole circle outside. At one point I swore I saw a hooded man in the foggy distance. He turned into a stone!

As I finished my walk, I turned back to the two fallen stones. It was Kathy’s turn to walk the circle outside. It was so dark that I began to feel my way over the two rocks. As I approached the center, I bumped my little gun against a low fence. I fell into the rock and heard it roar, and this huge rock moved to my left as I caught myself from falling! I turned and started back towards the other fallen rock. I thought to myself, “What just happened?” I turned and headed towards the center. I kept asking myself what happened to the fence? Was it invisible? Just where is it? I bent down and literally felt in the dark, I didn’t want to hit my shin again. I walked forward and didn’t hit anything. I realized I was standing at the top of the rock in the inner circle.

I prayed my prayers of hope and thanksgiving to God, our Father and the Hail Mary. I also prayed the prayer I say when I say my rosary. “I pray these prayers for peace in the world, brotherhood of man, peace on earth. I pray that the Spirit of Christ is born in each and every one of us and that our bodies are filled with light. I pray for every human being on this planet comes to know, use, and become one with God’s Will and Power, God’s Love, and God’s Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Thought.” To be able to say my special prayer at the center of Stonehenge was an incredible gift.

Kathy came back, “Are you in the center?” He flashed the flashlight and I was in the center. The fence was a good foot and a half in stone. I walked through it and never touched it! I was supposed to be there, I was invited! The only picture that came out that night was a picture of the fence stopping short of my moving giant.

We walked to the opposite side of the outer circle and sat down to meditate. I felt as if the whole night sky had flooded my consciousness. It was like being in the void, all and none. I bathed in the stars and everyone. It would happen to me when I laid my head on the Mother Stone in Avebury.

I looked up and saw a white arc over Stonehenge that night. It was like the half white circle I saw in my dream over the rainbow back in the US. In my dream, I looked and saw a rainbow in the distance. The rainbow did not end but continued underground to form a circle. This rainbow was white in color. I realized that the rainbow in the earth is really a complete circle, which makes sense that it is not only part of an arc. Later in this dream I saw the end of the rainbow. I entered into all the colors and woke up to the vibrations of those glorious colors that were going through me. Here was the white arc, the white rainbow, on Stonehenge!

We sat in silence for a while. We hear music playing. I thought the invisible choir was present. I prayed to the angel of Stonehenge. I thanked God Goddess for being there. I thought of all my loved ones in the circle that night and prayed for them all.

The fog began to roll in. As we drove back to the mansion, I had to stick my head out the car window to see. As we walked away from Stonehenge it totally disappeared into the mist. Avalon fog is coming…

Epilogue:

I later found another important piece of this gift. I discovered that the rock that had moved was a piece of a large rock broken in two. This stone lay on top of the fallen altar stone. When I moved to the center I stood on the fallen alter stone!

I met Mary Hardy months later. I call him a wizard. She is a dowser, homeopathic doctor, and works with aromatherapy and Young Living Oils. He told me that Stonehenge was built after the sinking of Atlantis. People would come in and change the stones to help heal the earth grid. Maybe I was sent there to do just that.

Stonehenge – All Hail Big Stones!

All hail Big Rock!

They stopped all the time.

They stay upright with age,

As man rises, he falls.

They give us life.

They show us respect for our Mother.

Temple of the sun and the moon,

Put in circles, outside of space.

Invisible to some,

For their greater meaning.

Knowledge to others,

Who knows their feelings.

They sing in the bright sunlight,

And the fog of the grayest night.

They sing in unison,

Where God meets humanity.

They sing in the silence,

As we fall to the ground.

They stand as memorials to all who have passed.
