House Blessings – Bless Yours NOW!
It is time to drive the enemy out of our home and family life. My wife and I recently purchased an 85 year old Victorian home in Stephenville, Texas. We called it Vanderbilt Place and ran it as a rooming house. On New Year’s Eve 2005, together with some friends, we prayed a blessing over the house. It has made a huge difference in terms of not only keeping the place occupied, but also in the type of tenants we have attracted since that day.
Later, after sharing this experience with a friend, a local business asked if we would pray with him for his business. Once we prayed, not only did productivity rise, but the strength of the evil element was dramatically reduced, beginning with the resignation of the manager several months later.
In this message, I did not want to become too ritualistic, so possibly invite some other religious devils. Consider this a model; feel free to customize it for your needs. So, I’m keeping it simple and duplicative so that others can bless THEIR homes…people like YOU! Don’t wait for Sunday to do something spiritual…we are the Church, NOT the buildings! Don’t wait for a minister either… you ARE one according to the scriptures.
In America today, we tend to shout at society’s problems and throw money at our problems. We do a great deal of finger tips, too. What I am proposing is that, house by house, American Christians must take back what the enemy has stolen from us. Start TODAY! As they say, if you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.
Single parents, grandparents, college students alone in your dorm, apartment dwellers AND apartment managers or property owners – if you’re a Christian, you have the authority to rule over your home. do not delay. Gather some friends and a bottle of virgin olive oil from the kitchen and start praying and anointing as the Spirit leads … your first place, then these! There is power in agreement so, regardless of denomination, go for it! If you like, take communion later or sing some hymns. Here’s what we’re doing. Do the same and be blessed!
1) TAKE AUTHORITY OVER THE SPIRITS WHO HAVE BEEN WELCOME THROUGHOUT THE HISTORY OF THE HOUSE – LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN FOR THEM TO ESCAPE. This is what the Bible says: “Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee.” Here is a prayer you can start with:
In the name of Jesus our Messiah, and the power of his blood and his cross, and the Holy Spirit who raised him from the dead and dwells in us now, we bind all the spirits of the air, and the fire and the water, in the earth and under the earth and the world, and we bind any satanic force of nature that has been assigned to this place to live. You will not steal from us again! In fact, you will repay us seven times, according to Ephesus 4:28. “When the thief is caught, he must pay seven times.” This includes seven times, energy, money, health and anything else stolen from God’s children.
We break all generational curses and words, spells, or spells, or any magical or occult activity that has been invited into this house – on purpose or by accident – through past generations.
We bind the interaction with the interaction of the demonic spirit in these walls. And we claim the protection of the Blood of Jesus Christ that has flowed on this house and on this land, and on every person who has spent a few moments on this property. May they receive God’s blessing!
We call you, Holy Spirit. Come now and fill this place, never leave! We pray this in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Here are some verses you can choose to start with:
“Grace and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 1:7)
“Jesus said: “Here I am! I stood at the door and knocked. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in…” (Revelation 3:20).
2) PRAYER OF BLESSING DURING ANOINTING WITH OIL
Dear God, we thank you that through faith in your Son Jesus Christ, you have made us all members of your eternal family. We thank you for all the love you send to bring families on our earth together, to heal us, and to heal those who have gone before us. Fill this house with your divine presence, we pray. Pour out your love to deepen your friends share here. Let your wisdom guide us, your faith set us free, and your peace bless us, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We dedicate this house to love and understanding. May they share its joys and sorrows and appreciate the individuality of each person who lives and visits here.
We dedicate this home to work, rest and play. May our home be filled with joy and great brotherhood, with kindness in its voice and laughter running through its walls.
We dedicate this house to friendly life. Let its doors open in hospitality and its windows look out with kindness towards other houses and those who pass by its doors.
We dedicate this house to cooperation. May his duties be fulfilled in love, his furniture testify that the work of others serves our comfort, and his table reminds us that God works with us to provide for daily needs.
We dedicate this home to the appreciation of all that is good and true. Let the books bring wisdom, the pictures symbolize beautiful things, and the music bring joy and inspiration.
We dedicate the time and talents of the people who live here to help build a world where every family can have a home that provides comfort and friendship.
We dedicate this house as a unit of the universal Church, an instrument of the Kingdom of God, a place of worship and Christian formation and a gateway to eternal life.
With our hearts turned towards you, so our thoughts rise in gratitude to God for this house, and in prayer for God’s blessing on it.
Here are some verses and reflections on Home and God’s care:
1. The Bible tells us that a house is more than a physical building.
With wisdom they build a house,
and his established understanding;
by knowledge the chambers are filled with all precious and beautiful riches.
2. We need God’s presence, power and direction for our lives and homes to bear fruit.
If the Lord does not build the house,
those who built it labored in vain.
If the Lord does not guard the city,
the watchman kept watch in vain.
3. The Bible shows that it is important to give our house to God. Before going into battle, the men in the Bible were warned to watch their homes!
Then the leaders will speak to the people and say: ‘Who builds a new house and does not dedicate it to the service of God? Let him return to his home, so that he does not die in the battle, so that he does not kill him.
4. God told his people to write his words on the pillars of their houses.
Today, many Jews put a portion of God’s Word on a scroll of parchment in a container on the doorpost of their house. They touch the scroll every time they enter or leave to remind them that their house belongs to God, and what happens there must be directed by God’s Word.
These words that I command you today will be in your heart, and we will teach our children diligently, and we will talk about them when we sit at home, when we walk on the road, when we lie down. and when you wake up. And you will bind them as a sign on your hand, and they will be like fronts between your eyes.
You shall write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
5. When a person dedicates his house to God, we are confident that God responds to their commitment. When Solomon dedicated the temple, God answered and spoke to him.
2 Chronicles 7:15
Now my eyes will be opened [says the Lord] And my ears are attentive to the prayer made in this place.
Now I have chosen this house and made it holy for me so that I can stay there forever. my eyes and my heart will be there forever.
6. When the people of the First Christian Movement gathered to teach and preach about Jesus, and to pray in the power of the Spirit, they often met in their homes. Even today, there is a growing movement throughout the Western world – something our third world brothers have been doing for decades – to meet in homes or wherever the Spirit leads them.
And every day in the temple and at home they do not stop teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
[Paul] He stayed two full years in his own rented neighborhood, welcoming everyone who came to him, preaching the Kingdom of God, teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ…
7. Jesus can use our home to serve us and with us if we welcome him.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
8. In his teachings, Jesus presented his home life as a model of what it means to live a life in God’s presence and love.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled; trust in God, believe in me too. In my Father’s house, there are many rooms;
if it were not so, would I have told you that I will prepare a place for you? When I go, I will prepare a place for you, I will come back again, I will take you to my home, so where I am, I will also be.
9. The psalmist saw God’s concern in the same way.
Those who dwell in the protection of God on high, who dwell in the shadow of God Almighty, will say to the Lord: “My refuge and my strength, my God, in him I trust.”
10. How are we using the houses that God has lent us? Dedicating our home to God is not a one-time action. It’s an ongoing ministry!
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, because that is how some have received angels without knowing it.
11. We are responsible to God for the use of our home and hospitality. God honors those who dedicate the use of their homes to bless others in need.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.
All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats… Then the king will say to those on his right: Come, Father I am blessed! inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; because I was … a stranger and you welcomed me …’
Then the righteous will answer him: ‘Lord, when did we see you… a stranger and welcome you…? The king will answer them: What I am telling you here is true: as you did to one of the youngest of my brothers, you did it to me.
Final Blessing Prayer:
Almighty God, we thank you for the desire of our hearts for this house and all who enter its doors, so that everything we have and do here may be in accordance with your divine plans, for this house and people its inhabitants can truly be completely dedicated. for you, to serve your kingdom.
We ask you to strengthen them in this commitment. We pray to you, O God, for this house, its inhabitants and its possessions, that you may bless them and sanctify them, enrich them with your goodness in every possible way. Pour upon them, O Lord, the dew of heaven in good measure, together with an abundance of earthly needs.
Mercifully, listen to their prayers, and provide for their needs.
As we come before you, Father, bless this house and all aspects of it,
cleanse any past evil deeds, and leave it pure, fresh and holy.
Bless this house, as you blessed the house of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and
Rebekah, daughter of Jacob and Rachel.
Within these walls, let your angels preside and watch over those who live with
spend time here, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
