Follow My Directions, Please: A Fun Christian Preschool Activity

Preschoolers love to practice. As teachers and parents we want to be a good and good Godly example for them to follow. As Christians, we must imitate Christ and follow His leadership and teachings for our lives. It is never too early to teach our children to obey God and here is a fun Christian preschool game based on James 1:22 which says: “Do not listen to the Word of God and deceive yourselves, but do as he says.” I call this game “Follow my instructions, Please”.

Here’s what you do:

For this activity, you need to prepare many instructions. I’ve given you 8 variations below that you may want to use or adapt for your situation. Another thing you may want to prepare is a Great Board that presents James 1:22. Now you are ready to play this activity.

Here’s how:

After teaching your lesson and James 1:22, you will explain to the class that they are going to recite the Bible verse. After saying James 1:22, you will choose a child who must follow the instructions you give him. Then the child will listen to the advice you give and do their best. You may want to have the right treatment to give the child his success. After each lesson, say the Bible verse together, then choose a new child to follow the new lesson.
