Summer Reading List – 10 Best Books for Kids
For some students, the school year is over. For some parents, it can be a battle between summer camp and outdoor activities. But if parents provide exciting books to read during summer vacation, children are more likely to engage in learning. In fact, summer reading improves the curriculum, prepares children for the next school year and improves their language skills.
To encourage children to read during the summer, ten books are reviewed based on age group, reading level and moral. By age 2, children can begin to develop reading skills in recognizing words and identifying letters. The reading level of all these books is grade 1 or easy reading level. Moral lessons that children learn from stories are also considered in each analysis. Many of these books are also available in English and Spanish.
