When you don’t eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode. What happens if the body begins to store fat in the body. This worked well hundreds of years ago, unlike today for people who are not really afraid of starvation.
The best you can do is 4-5 small meals… or 3 small meals and 3 snacks.
Mistake #2: Focus countless hours on cardio
Long, steady-state, automatic cardio is not good for weight loss or if you’re trying to lose belly fat. It is very catabolic. That means it eats away at muscle for fiber. Since each pound of muscle produces 30-50 more calories per day than one pound of fat, you’re inadvertently slowing down your metabolism and burning fewer calories.
Instead, make short work of short-term use. To do this, just go “all out” with all the cardio exercises you do. Do this for 10 seconds. Then, slow it down and do the low intensity of the machine for 20 seconds. Then repeat that cycle for at least 5 minutes.
25 minutes of this will help give you the “after burn”. That’s it, that’s it… you burn body fat for 18 or more hours after you finish this routine. You don’t get the sore back with slow, steady-state cardio like jogging on the treadmill for 20 minutes at the same speed.
Mistake #3: Not getting enough fiber in your diet
The average woman should get at least 35 grams of fiber every day. The average American gets about 12 grams of fiber a day. It just doesn’t cut it. Fiber cleanses your body and improves the function of your digestive system to remove waste and toxins. This obviously speeds up your weight loss.
The easiest way to get more of your 35 or more grams of fiber every day is to eat 1 black bean every day. Each 15-ounce serving can contain up to 25 grams of fiber. It only costs 48 cents at Wal-Mart.
