Varieties of Bonsai Tree Types
There are two types of Bonsai trees that you can grow well, with many varieties in each type that you can choose according to your preferences. Bonsai was first introduced nearly two thousand years ago from China. It is, however, the Japanese people, who have created many exhibitions and ideas.
Two types of Bonsai
One is the indoor bonsai plant that is best planted in the home and office. Most tropical or subtropical plants make good house plants. They will flower and stay healthy for a long time if they are well taken care of.
Need for growth
All plants need enough sunlight. Water your bonsai tree, with good water after placing it in the window, where it gets enough sunlight. Make sure the plant does not dry out and too much water can cause root rot to occur. Use a good water-soluble fertilizer that contains all the right nutrients. Plants should receive fertilizer once a week, in summer and once every 4 weeks, in winter.
Differences Between Indoor Bonsai Tree Types
Examples of Bonsai trees are Chinese Elm (known as Ulmus parvifolia), Chinese Snow Rose or also known as Serissa, Fukien Tea Tree, Baby Jade, Chinese bird plum, and also known as Ficus salicifolia or Narrow Leaf. In addition, there are Paper Flowers also known as Bougainville and Bougainvillea, a beneficial plant called Pachira aquatic and lucky tree, Chinese pepper, pine tree, as well as Sacred Bamboo or Nandina domestica and Chinese Privet.
Other types of Bonsai trees are those that grow well in the open air and can be divided into the following two groups: Evergreen bonsai trees and Deciduous bonsai. These can grow to be truly beautiful with proper nutrition and care.
Evergreen Bonsai does not shed its leaves in any of the four seasons. However they become dormant in the winter during the time the leaves turn dull green or yellow in some cases.
Deciduous Bonsai trees lose their leaves in the fall and become dormant during the winter and the leaves begin to grow in the spring.
